Softer side
I'll admit that when Tee told me Ying was coming over to watch a movie I wasn't the least bit interested; then curiousity set in and I kept asking "is this a love movie"... to which after 15 minutes of excuses finally I heard the dreadful "yes, but... just watch it you might like it." I'm so sure.
Well it's good to know that you are still learning a lot about life and can be wrong every now and then, and I have no problem publically admitting it. We watched two movies; first Before Sunrise, and then it's sequel from 9 years later, Before Sunset. It's refreshing to know that there are deep, analytical, and smart movies (unlike the trend of generic crowd pleasers) that examine relationships, the unbelieveable chemistry two people can make on a brief chance occasion, and how certain people stay with you for a long time even though you can't explain it. Everything seemed both imaginative yet strangely real, down to the genuine chemistry, and I found myself smiling at the dialogue, having had many similar conversations in the past.
I can't say that after seeing both movies I didn't stop to think about things past; people, places, memories and the connections. Unfortunately we don't always get a second chance in life.

Before Sunset was definitely one of the better movies of 2004. Although people told me to watch the sequel before the original. It adds a whole different layer of perceived memories versus reality in relationships.
truly great movies...
truly great movies...
(i haven't seen these movies but) sometimes you get a second chance and you fuck that up too ;)
kudos to Cheongwey for introducing the movies to me in the first place in KL.. think most pple can relate to alot of the dialogue or theory in the movie, definately a movie to keep and to watch several times :)
That's why I love being a drama queen once in a while. Coz you might NEVER be given the second chance!
No connection between them? Alright, who cares! :P
A few weeks ago, I took a spontaneous trip to Vienna because of those movies. Sadly, did not meet any hot French girls on the train. Next time...
Although I've never seen these movies, from the stuff people have been saying, i think something like this happened to me this weekend. A random meeting in Dahab leading to massive chemistry that I've never experienced before. Maybe I should watch them...
